Obituary of Madeline Mielke

Mielke, Madeline (nee Marra), 87, of Lyndhurst, died on Thursday, January 25, 2024.  Mrs. Mielke was born and raised in Jersey City and was a resident of Lyndhurst for over 60 years. Madeline took great pride as a mother and grandmother, baking and cooking to show her deep love for her family. After raising her children, Madeline enjoyed being a "Lunch Lady" at Roosevelt School of Lyndhurst. She also had a 20 year career working at the Lyndhurst Public Library.  Madeline was predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years, Paul R. Mielke in 2019.  She is survived by her loving children, Marianne Chmielewski and her husband, Ray and Marilyn Mielke, by her 2 dear grandchildren, Daniel Chmielewski and Bryan Butkowsky & his wife, Stephanie and her cherished great grandson, Bennett.  Also she loved spoiling the puppies of the family, Chloe, Bailey and Maddie..

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Monday, January 29, 2024 from 4 - 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 30th at 9 AM then to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lyndhurst where at 10 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  You may express your condolences to Madeline's family by using our tribute wall.
