Favata, Ruth (nee Lorentz), 84, of Lyndhurst, died on Monday, March 4, 2024. Mrs. Favata was born and raised in New York City and has lived in Lyndhurst for the past 65 years.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.  Ruth is predeceased by her husband, Joseph R. Orrego, by her children, Theresa Orrego, Robert Orrego and Joseph E. Orrego, and her granddaughter, Nichole Orrego.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years, Frank P. Favata, by her daughter, Ruth Hewett,by her step children Vera Jones and Frank C. Favata (Jennifer) by her dear grandchildren, Joseph J., Michelle, Kevin, Aja, Kristy, Jackie, Zachary, Hailey and Evan, by her great grandchildren, Haiden, Alina, Analia & Devin, by her sister, Frances "Sissy" Ryan and brother, Thomas Lorentz.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 3 - 7 PM.  A funeral service will begin at 6:30 PM.  Private cremation.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Ruth’s memory to American Cancer Soceity, 986 S.
