Hanratty, Edward M., 73, of Lyndhurst, died on Saturday, April 6, 2024.  Mr. Hanratty was raised in Bronx, NY where he lived for over 20 years before moving to Ridgefield Park, NJ to raise his family.  He lived in Lyndhurst for the past 10 years.  Eddie was a proud alumni of All Hallows High School in the Bronx, Class of 1968, and had joy in remaining close with his classmates over the years.  He was Vice President of Finance for Computer Leasing, Inc. in Hackensack where he worked for 18 years. He was a Past Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus of Ridgefield Park and also coached his children's Little League teams in town.  Eddie was an avid Yankees and Giants fan and loved to golf.  In recovery himself, one thing he found great pride in was sponsoring and helping others through their struggles.  He never hesitated when it came to being there for someone in need.  Eddie is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Phyllis Hanratty (nee Reilly) of Dublin, Ireland, by their loving children, Edward Hanratty and his wife, Jaime (nee Reap), Sean Hanratty and his wife, Jenna (nee Topper), Elizabeth Mueller and her husband, Daniel, and Erin Hanratty, by his cherished grandchildren, who were his absolute pride and joy, Liam, Emma, Mackenzie, and Grace, and by his dear sister-in-law, Breda Reilly.  He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Mary (nee Marovich) Hanratty and by his brothers and sister, one of which was his twin brother, Bob.
