Charles is the best father-in-law one could ever wish for. Attentive, funny, generous, thoughtful, warm, and yet tough as nails with no nonsense. Thank you for giving me courtesy laughs at my attempts to land a joke. Thank you for finding super human strength to lift that gutter grate so that I could get the phone that I dropped in there. Thank you for giving me permission to marry the most wonderful and amazing person in the world. I will miss your heartfelt smile, your reassurance that everything would work out, and hearing you say "Be Good" when we would part ways. Glad to have been a part of your life. You certainly are a part of mine and always will be.

Many memories with Charlie growing up. He was never unprepared to make you laugh or smile, or to argue sports. What he liked, he liked, and knew it, and could go on with you about it til there was no more to say whatsoever, and still he could go on! He could also do all 4 of the 3 stooges on call.
I saw the full measure of love in the Ranne house, from the jokes and lightheartedness to the unbreakable devotion. He was blessed and lucky beyond words to reap this love, and he and Jason live on in it undyingly.
