Obituary of Morris J. Scarpa

Scarpa, Morris “Blackie," 90, of Lyndhurst, died on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at his home.  Morris was born and raised in Jersey City, lived in Lyndhurst, then Montville, before returning in Lyndhurst where he has lived for the past 25 years.  He served in the United States Army in the 50s and was an Architectural Designer and Construction Planner for Channel Home Centers before retiring.  Morris is predeceased by his brother Ralph Scarpa.  He is survived by his loving sons, James Scarpa & his wife, Kelly and Todd Scarpa, by his dear grandchildren, Christina, Tyler, Ryan, Brian and Marissa, and by his great grandchildren, Jaxson, Hayden and Maisie.  He is also survived by his brother, Carmine Scarpa.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc.403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Monday, July 8, 2024 from 4 - 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 9 AM.  Funeral Service begins 10AM.  Interment to follow, Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.  You may express condolences to his family by using our tribute wall.
