David F. Winters, 67, of Kearny, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024. Mr. Winters was born in Elizabeth NJ and has been a resident of Kearny most of his life.  He was a locksmith working for Hays Safe & Lock of Kearny and then Accredited Lock of Secaucus for 21 years. Dave had a love for his fish that he cared for in the aquariums he maintained.  David was predeceased by his beloved parents, Edward and Louise Winters. He is survived by his sister, Donna Fitzsimmons & her husband, John, by his niece Alison, nephew, Matthew Fitzsimmons & his wife, Amy, and their daughters, Nora and Claire.  Also survived by his godchildren, Taylor, Dean and Lauren Hays and by many family and friends he will be deeply missed by.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc.403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Sunday, July 28, 2024 from 2 - 6 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Monday, July 29, 2024 at 9 AM. Funeral Service begins 10AM.  Interment to follow, Hazelwood Cemetery, 64 Lake Avenue. Colonia NJ 07067. The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations to be made to the ALS Association at als.org clicking here
