Obituary of Maria E. Gomez

Gomez, Maria E. (nee Viola), 83, died on Sunday, August 11, 2024, surrounded by her family.  Mrs. Gomez was born in Argentina, moved to Jersey City in 1973 and has been a resident of North Arlington since 1996.  Maria designed bridal headpieces in the 80’s and 90’s for Marionat.  Later, she was a bookkeeper for T.A.G. Inc. of Moonachie for many years, retiring in 2003. Maria was predeceased by her beloved husband, Nestor J. Gomez in September of 2018.  She is survived by her loving daughters, Maria Gomez-Presti & her husband, Robert and Lorena Gomez-Power & her husband, Greg, by her loving grandchildren, Lukas and Gianna Presti and Madison Power. Also survived by her sister, Maria Rosa Armagno & her husband, Ricardo and by her goddaughter, Karina Armagno.

 Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 4- 8 PM. All will gather at the funeral home on Friday, August 16th at 10:30 AM then to Saint Michael’s Church, Lyndhurst where at 11:30 AM a funeral mass will be offered.
