Russell, William M., 70, of Lyndhurst, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024.  Mr. Russell was born and raised in Jersey City before moving to Lyndhurst.  William was a graduate of Xavier High School in Manhattan, Class of 1972 and then went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Fordham University in 1976.  He worked for Equitable Life Insurance in Paramus as a sales manager and most recently, he was a doorman with Union 32BJ in New York City.  William is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Russell (nee Tierney), by his loving children, William Russell and his wife, Petra and Jeffrey Russell and his wife, Ignez, by his cherished grandchildren, Billy, Brielle, Hailey, Emily, Guilherme, and Giselle, by his dear sister, Theresa Gencarelli, and by his niece and nephews, Jeanine Kang, Louis Gencarelli, and Anthony Gencarelli.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 3 - 7 PM.  A funeral service will begin at 6:30 PM.  Cremation will be held privately.  You may express your condolences to William's family by using our tribute wall.
