Ellis, Margaret A., (nee Hayes),  93, of Kearny, died on Thursday, October 10, 2024. Margaret was born in Quebec, Canada, during her parents vacation, she was raised in North Bergen and moved to Kearny in 1958, where she has lived most of her life.  Margaret worked when she first married, but her full time occupation quickly became, homemaker and mom to her seven children.  Margaret raised her children and babysat most of her grandchildren.  She was an avid fan of Coca Cola and would always be seen with a can of soda and loved her sweets. A true Matriach of the family, Margaret will be missed deeply by all who loved her.  She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Norman Ellis in 2013 and her son, James Ellis in 1986.  She is survived by her loving children, Mark Ellis & his wife, Lorrie, Brian Ellis & his wife, Linda,Kathy Hood & her husband, Charlie, Sue Zaros & her husband, Dan, Michael Ellis & his wife, Michele and Bob Ellis & his wife, Paula.  Margaret is also survived by her 14 cherished grandchildren and her great grandchild "on the way".

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 4 - 8PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Thursday October 17, 2024 at 9AM, then to St. Stephen's Church, Kearny, where at 10 AM a funeral Mass will be offered.  Interment to follow, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Margaret's memory to the American Cancer Society.
