Sabino, Patrick L. 88, of Paramus, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Born in Passaic, NJ, Pat lived in Lyndhurst for over 60 years before settling in Paramus 25 years ago.

Growing up in Lyndhurst, Pat worked for the family-owned cab service, driving a taxi for many years. He later worked as a Comptroller at Bi-State Trucking in Whippany, NJ for several years before retiring in 1994.  Pat married his beloved wife, Mary L. Sabino (nee Cucco) on November 8, 1958. They enjoyed 58 years of marriage before Mary’s passing. Together, they made their home on Kingsland Avenue in Lyndhurst where they enjoyed entertaining family and friends, whether during the holidays or on any ordinary weeknight. Their home was always filled with laughter, and Pat’s good-natured “Ralph Kramden” demeanor was softened by Mary’s loving presence. There were countless family gatherings, including weekends in the Poconos and then to the beach in Curtis Point. Pat loved music and in his younger years, he always would take to the dance floor at family get-togethers and weddings.  Despite his size, he delighted in dancing, particularly the Tarantella, with a white napkin twirling in one hand as his family joined him in this lively tradition.   These times were filled with much laughter and lasting memories for all of us that have been fortunate to be part of. His sudden death has left our hearts saddened, yet we rejoice in knowing he is reunited with his beloved Mary.

Pat was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary L. Sabino (nee Cucco), and is survived by his loving son, Marc Sabino, his dear sister, Catherine Rullo, nieces and nephews, Maryann Aynilian & her husband, Greg, Michele O'Neill & her husband, Michael, Cathy Anderson & her husband, Larry, and Annette Di Santis & her husband, Ray, his great-nephew, Alec Aynilian and great-niece, Michala O'Neill, along with many cousins, extended family, and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 9:30 - 11 AM.
