Sink, Joan E. (nee Charalambou), 81, died on Sunday, December 22, 2024 surrounded by the love of her family and friends.  Joan was born in Bronx, NY and has lived most of her life in Rutherford.  She was an Operator for Bell Atlantic which became Verizon, where her career spanned some 30 years before she retired.  Joan was a firm believer in Jesus as her Lord and Savior and found peace in the knowing of His endless love and mercy.  A dedicated mother and grandmother, her loving presence will be missed deeply by us all.  Joan is predeceased by her parents, the late Andrew Charalambou, Sr. and Sarafina (nee Leonte), by her brother, Andrew Charalambou and sister, Gloria Valvano-Charalambou.  Joan is survived by her loving children, Ronald H Sink, Jr. and Kristine F. Patton & her husband, Robert and by her dear grandchildren, Emma Grace and Sara Jane Patton. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at the Nazare Memorial Home Inc. 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Monday, December 30, 2024 from 9:30AM - 11AM.  Then to St. Mary's Church, Rutherford where at 11:30 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Interment to follow, Hillside Cemetery.  Donations in Joan's memory can be made to the Dean Michael Clarizio Cancer Foundation by clicking here.  or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital P.O. Box 11000, Memphis TN.  You may express condolences to Joan's family by using our tribute wall.
