Charles N. Wormke, 84, died on Monday, December 30, 2024.  Mr. Wormke was a resident of Lyndhurst, NJ. He had an MBA in Accounting and Taxation and held various accounting roles for 31.5 years at ITT in Clifton, NJ. He served as a visiting guest lecturer and part-time instructor at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Montclair State University, Rutgers University, and Bergen Community College. He also honorably served 4.5 years with the U.S. Air Force in Germany.  Charles was predeceased by his wife, the late Alice (Geary) Wormke; his beloved parents, the late Charles and Gertrude (Golomb) Wormke; his brother, the late Alfred Wormke; and his sister, the late Rita Wormke.

He is survived by his children, Jennifer Poggioli (husband Michael); J. Kevin Wormke (wife Lhyn, and her daughter Madison); and J. Michael Ezon (husband David); his grandchild, Elliot David Ezon; his brother, Donald Wormke (wife Carol); his sister, Rosemary Wormke; and his dear friend, Anna Hager.  Charles will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services are private.    Donations are welcome at St. John’s Soup Kitchen located at 871 McCarter Hwy, Newark, NJ 07102 and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  No reception to follow.  You may express your condolences to Charles’ family by using our tribute wall.
