Obituary of Michael C. Erminio
Michael Erminio, 54
On Thursday, January 23, 2025, my angel on Earth and best friend was set free from his pain and suffering. He has joined his mom Patsyann, dad Frank 'Pops', his father-in-law and track buddy Bob, and his other true love Tasha. Mike was the toughest man we'll ever know. His quiet strength never wavered. He never lost hope, never complained, and remained sharp with his quick wit and natural charm. His positivity was limitless and he never stopped fighting, right up until the end.
Mike was loved by everyone but especially his wife Allie, his daughter Zara, and pups Max and Bernie. We thank him for giving us a beautiful life filled with love and hilarious one liners.
Mike grew up in Lyndhurst, until he fulfilled a dream of buying a home in Clifton. Mike worked in different places throughout his life, including Hunts Point, Wall Street, and Wee Willie’s, before beginning his 18 year career at PSE&G as a systems operator.
Mike appreciated the small things in life, like a Kohrs cone on the boardwalk, sitting at the bar making friends over a burger and a beer on date nights with his wife, and especially watching Jeopardy with his daughter Zara.
Mike also had a deep love for sports. He was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins and the Cincinnati Reds, but his true passion was horse racing. He looked forward to his yearly trips to the Saratoga Race Course and the Monmouth Racetrack. On his days off he could be found watching races and having a cocktail, while chatting it up with Dominick the bartender at Meadowlands Racetrack.
Mike will be deeply missed by his devoted wife Allie and his daughter Zara, his aunt Lucy, uncle Vinny, mother-in-law Vicki, sisters-in-law Audrey and Jessica Kerr, and by his dear friends and chosen family Anthony and Denise Zaza, Mike and Ava Ventrone, Ray and Mare Chmielewski, Tommy and Esther Giordano, and Mike and Betsy Nevedomsky. He is suvived by his brother Frankie, many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Monday, January 27, 2025 from 3 – 7 PM.
