Liparulo, Michael L., 91, of Lyndhurst, died on Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Mr. Liparulo was born in Newark and has been a life long resident of Lyndhurst. He was a graduate of Lyndhurst High School in 1940. Michael was a Marine Corps Veteran who served during WWII, 1942 to 1946, where he participated in the action at Okinawa and Ryukyu Islands. He worked as a Color Matcher for Merkin's Paints of Lyndhurst for over 20 yearsand then as a Financial Analyst for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Newark for 15 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of BPO Elks Lodge #1505, VFW Post #3549, AmVets Post #20, Mount Carmel Seniors and the Starlings, all of Lyndhurst. Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Connie (nee Voza) Liparulo, by his loving daughters, Lois Boisits & her husband, Edward, Miriam Hansen & her husband, Peter and Cynthia Settembrino & her husband, Ronald, by his grandchildren, Christina O'Keefe, Lynne Hansen, Janelle White, Mary Kay Young, Stacy Tulloch, Edward, Michael and Stephanie Boisits, Gregg and Michael Settembrino and by the late Steven Hansen. Also survived by his dear thirteen great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 9 AM then to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lyndhurst where at 10 AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM.
