Matthew, Lillian A. (nee DeLio), 70, of Lyndhurst passed away on September 27, 2013, peacefully with her family by her side. Lillian was born September 6, 1943 in Montalto, Cosenza, Italy. She arrived in the United States in 1948 and settled in Brooklyn, NY. She married Charles Matthew on May 16, 1964 and in 1968 they moved to New Jersey. She was a Bookkeeper for Continental Travel and Baltic Dye. She also worked as a Receptionist at the Meadowlands Arena, then in Food Service at the Bergen County Senior Citizens Center, East Rutherford. Lillian dedicated her life to serving others and making everyone feel as if they were the most important person in the world. She will be remembered by all of those who loved her as someone who loved life and brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. Lillian is survived by her beloved husband, Charles Matthew, her loving children, Victoria O'Brien & her husband, Frank, Michelle Walter & her husband, Scott, Bernadette Fox & her husband, Kevin and Charles Matthew & his wife, Nicoletta, by her dear grandchildren, Brooke and Justin Walker and Nicholas and Jack Matthew and by her sister, Emily Saccio. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 9AM the to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lyndhurst where at 10AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst. Visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9PM. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Lupus Foundation of America or St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 Memphis Place, Tn 38105
