Haines, Mary E. (nee Mc Cann), 96, died on Tuesday, February 18, 2014. Mrs. Haines was born and raised and lived most of her life in Newark, the past 7 years in Pennsylvania. She was a Homemaker and also worked for St. Philomena's Rectory in Livingston as a housekeeper, cook and office worker for 15 years. Mary is predeceased by her beloved husband, John A. Haines in 1965, by a grandson, Mark Roberts and her brothers, James McCann and William McCann. She is survived by her loving children, Mary Pontrelli, Carol Gallagher, Irene Roberts, Diane Lamberti and Daniel Haines, by her 14 grandchildren, 21, great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 10AM. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visiting hours Friday 3-7PM.
