Petrillo, Conrad S. 84, of Lyndhurst, passd into eternal life on Thursday, May 13, 2010. Mr. Petrillo was born in and remained lifelong resident of Lyndhurst. A Navy veteran (1943-46), he served proudly aboard the USS Boyle (DD-600) as an Electrician�s Mate 3rd Class in both the European and Pacific theaters. He began his career as a journeyman butcher with The A&P Tea Co. rising to the level of Regional Meat Supervisor and retired after 50 years of dedicated service. A tireless worker, he continued to work well into his 80�s.Following in the footsteps of family tradition, he proudly served 36 years in the Lyndhurst Volunteer Fire Dept., Engine Co. #3 (Hill Co.) attaining the level of Chief from 1969-70. He was also an avid golfer. Mr. Petrillo is predeceased by his parents, Arcangela and Louis, and his brother, Joseph. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dolores (nee Galindo), his loving daughters, Katherine Petrillo-Klein and husband, Richard of Warwick, NY and Carol Petrillo Lintz and her husband, Robert of North Caldwell, his dear grandchildren, Mariel, Chiara and Julian and his sister-in-law, Ann Petrillo. Relatives and friends are invited to the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Monday, May 17 at 9:00 a.m. then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10:00 a.m. a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visiting hours Sunday, May 16, 2-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully accepted for the Lyndhurst Volunteer Fire Department
