Longo, Victor W., 95, died on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Mr. Longo was born, raised and was a life long resident of Lyndhurst. He was an Army Veteran of W.W. II serving from 1941 until 1945. He was a Truck Driver for General Diaper Service, Irvington for 30 years before he retired in 1984. Victor was a Usher at Our Lady of Mount Church as well as a member of the Holy Name Society and the Mount Carmel Seniors and the Knights of Columbus all of Lyndhurst. Victor is predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Joe, Tony, Vera, Lucy, Mary, Louise and Millie. He is survived by his beloved wife, Josephine (nee Malato) Longo, by his loving children, Linda Ann Vuono and her husband, Chizzie, Victor Longo and his wife, Carolyn and Maureen Ann Longo, by his dear grandchildren, Laura Ann Vuono Marinelli and her husband, Mike, Jamie Ann Vuono Reid and her husband, John, Victor Longo and his wife, Angela, Daniel Longo and his wife, Melissa, Michael H. Nowak and his wife, Luci and Thomas P. Nowak, by his great-grandchildren, Rianna Ann Marinelli, Michael James Marinelli, Jaylin Ann Vuono Reid, James Anthony Vuono Reid and John Rocco Vuono Reid. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Monday, June 2, 2014 at 10AM. Then to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lyndhurst where at 11AM a funeral mass will be offered. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lyndhurst. Visiting hours Sunday 2- 6 PM.
