Clark, William Robert, 59, better known as �Bill,� of Glen Rock, NJ, passed away on March 7, 2015. He was surrounded by his beloved family at Valley Hospital, Ridgewood NJ, after fighting a long battle with cancer. Born August 10, 1955 in Great Lakes, Illinois, Bill was a �Navy Brat� who lived in various cities on the East coast. His family settled in Norfolk, VA, where Bill graduated from Norfolk Catholic High School in 1973. A well rounded athlete, he went on to play baseball at Old Dominion University, Norfolk VA, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha (Order) graduating in 1978. Thereafter, he achieved a Master�s Degree in Business Management from Hood College, Frederick, MD, which preceded him starting a communications business in 1995, Electronic Service Solutions, where he was the president. In 1980 he married his college sweetheart, Sally (nee Hickernell), at John Calvin Presbyterian Church in Annandale, VA. They lovingly raised two sons. Throughout his life, Bill was devoted to his family and many friends. He was truly a pillar of the community. Bill volunteered his time with the Glen Rock Jaycees, Glen Rock Board of Education, CYO and was best known as the �Voice of Glen Rock,� announcing Junior and High School football games along with the annual 4th of July parade. Bill�s passion was coaching Glen Rock youth in baseball, basketball, and football. He enjoyed his time bowling with The Desperados, annual golf outings to LBI and Myrtle Beach with the boys, and all family vacations. Bill was predeceased by his father, James William Clark, II. He is survived by his wife, Sally H. Clark; sons David W. Clark (wife Kristin J.) of Alexandria, VA, and Christopher R. Clark of Glen Rock, NJ; his mother, Nancy Edington and step-father, Donald Edington of Brandon, FL; his brother James W. Clark III and wife, Elizabeth G.; sister-in-law Deborah H. and John A. Grisnik of Jacksonville, Fl; and nieces, nephews, and innumerable friends. There will be a memorial service at West Side Presbyterian Church, 6 South Monroe Street, Ridgewood, NJ, 07450, on Saturday March 14 at 2:00 pm. Interment remains will be at the West Side Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to West Side Presbyterian Church.
