Bogle, Ronald W., 65. of Montague, died on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at his residence in Lake Alfred, FL. Mr. Bogle was born in Passaic, raised in and lived in Lyndhurst for 39 years, and was a resident of Montague, NJ and Lake Alfred, FL. At age 21, Ron ran and was elected to the Lyndhurst School Board. Later, he was elected Commissioner of the Dept of Parks and Recreation, his second term as Commissioner of Public Safety and was appointed Mayor, like his father and grandfather before him, for the last year of his service. Ron served for 18 years in public office. He was General Manager of High Point Community Corp. for 10 years, then he became VP/CEO of VAP International Corp. of Fairfield, NJ, a property ownership management position. He gave back to the community through volunteering with and being President of NJ Tournament of Champions for disabled children for 10 years, raising donations to support this cause. He was an avid reader, loved playing cards, enjoyed Disney and just being with family and friends. Ronald is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Denise A. (nee Drozdowski) Bogle, by his parents, Horace R. Bogle, Jr. and the late Louise (nee Chenette) Bogle, by his adored daughter, Elizabeth C. Bogle, by his loving sisters, Elizabeth Bogle-Rohwer (Dennis Hadley), Kathleen Lehmann (Eric Lehmann), Donna Gomes (Antonio Gomes) and Jean Bogle (Paul Vagianos) and by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service held at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 5PM. Visiting hours Sunday 3:30-5:30 PM. Cremation Private. Donations can be made in his memory to: American Diabetes Association-NJ Office, Center Pointe II, Ste 103, 1160 Route 22 East, Bridgewater, N.J. 08807. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 at St. James the Greater Parish, 75 River Road, Montague, NJ at 10 AM.
