Vandenberg, Catherine V.(nee Mahoney) 87 of Park Ridge formerly of Jersey City, died Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Park Ridge Care Center. Mrs.Vandenberg was born in New York City, NY and was raised and resided in Jersey City for most of her life; residing in Lakewood for 10 years before moving to Par Ridge in 2008. She was a secretary for the Budget Department in Jersey City for 25 years, retiring in 1993. She was predeceased by her husband Albert in 1995. Loving mother of John Cipriano and his wife Patti and her daughter Susan Eichler and her husband William; devoted grandmother of John Cipriano, Jodi Smilovic and Jennifer Eichler; dear sister of Mary Neville and Theresa Cafferata; also survived by 4 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, on Tuesday August 17 at 9 AM then to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington where at 10 AM a funeral mass will be offered. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Visiting hours Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
