Orlando, Joseph C., 72, of Lyndhurst died on Wednesday November 4, 2015. Mr. Orlando was born in Newark and lived most of his life in Lyndhurst. He was the Owner of J & M Seal Supply Company of Lyndhurst for the past 17 years. He served in the Army National Guard from 1963 to 1969. Joseph graduated from Rutgers University with a BA of Science in 1979 and as an avid Rutgers fan, he remained a faithful sports enthusiast. He was a member of the Lyndhurst Beautification Committee and was instrumental in the water park project that many residents enjoy. In addition, he was the Head of the Lyndhurst Variance Zoning Board, Chairman of the Lyndhurst Board of Adjustments, Aide to the Lyndhurst Commissioners and a member of the Italian-American Club. Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Mary (nee Di Lascio) Orlando, by his daughters, Debra & Jeff Bosland and Laurie & Geoff Woodall, by his grandchildren, Calvin, Natalie, Collin, Colby, Amanda, Andrew, Abigail and Alex, by his devoted sister, Senta Rizzo, by his brother, the late Frank Orlando and by many loving nieces and nephews. Joe loved life, his family, travel, food and his Rutgers; Caring and supportive for all his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 9AM then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst. Visiting hours Sunday 1-5PM.
