Obituary of Michael S Smolensky

Smolensky, Michael S., 79, of Nanty Glo, PA, formerly of Kearny, died peacefully while visiting his son on Saturday December 26, 2009. Mr. Smolensky was born in Houtzdale, PA, raised in Ramey, PA, lived in Kearny for over 40 years, and has been a resident of Nanty Glo, PA the past 13 years. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a Pipe Fitter, for Manhattan Engineers, NY for over 40 years, retiring in 1995. Michael is predeceased by his beloved wife, Leona (nee Lasko) Smolensky in 1995. He is survived by his loving children, Michael J. Smolensky and his wife, Cindy of Lyndhurst, Susan Aquino and her husband, Tony of Hopatcong, and his dear grandsons, Daniel, Kevin, Anthony, Matthew and Marc. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Wednesday December 30, 2009 at 8:30AM then to St. Stephen�s Church, Kearny where at 9:30AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9PM.
