Cassidy, Maureen A., 62, died on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Cassidy was born and raised in Jersey City, where she attended and graduated from St. Dominic's Academy and later married her husband, John L. Cassidy. Together, they lived in Jersey City and Bayonne and raised their family. In 1988, they moved to Lyndhurst, where she has been a resident for the past 28 years. Maureen worked out of her home as a caregiver to local children over the past two decades. She was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, their Rosary Society and Social Concerns Committee. She is predeceased by her father, John FX Mc Tigue and her beloved husband, John L. Cassidy in 2013. She is survived by her loving mother, D. Joan (nee Ashmore) Mc Tigue, by her loving sons, Steven Cassidy & his wife, Maria Elena and Patrick John Cassidy & his wife, Ashli Rose, by her dear granddaughter, Laila Rose, by her brothers, Michael and John Mc Tigue,her sister, Patricia Stanley and her nephew, Dr. Sean Mc Tigue. Maureen will be missed as "mom" and caregiver to Dayna, Victoria, Sophia, Robbie and Jason. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 9AM then to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lyndhurst where at 10AM a funeral mass will be offered. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 & 7-9PM.
