Costantino, John A., 90, of Kearny, died on Sunday, June 5, 2016. Mr. Costantino was born in North Bergen and raised in Union City, lived in Bayonne and then North Arlington for 40 years and Manchester for 5 years and has been a current resident of Kearny. John was an Army Air Corp WWII Veteran, serving from 1943 to 1946 mostly in Guam, about which he wrote several short stories. He was an innovative Manager for many years in the distribution of Ladies Sportswear, a job he loved and did extremely well including long term tenures at Majestic Specialties in Jersey City and �Elles Belles/Kenneth Knits in Carlstadt and Secaucus. He also was Owner of RonJon�s in Kearny for several years. A loving husband and father, John was predeceased by his beloved wife, Veronica A. (�Ronnie�, nee Brzoska) Costantino in 2005. He is survived by his loving children, Barbara Stahley and her husband, Joseph, Bernadette Costantino, John Costantino and his wife, Jan, Robert Costantino and his wife, Angela, Diane Neglia and Thomas Costantino and his wife, Iris, by his devoted grandchildren, Johanna, Joseph, Mary, Halley, Rachel, Kristen, Jenna, Steven, Chris and Andy, by his dear great grandchildren, Ozzy, Peter, Shelby, Mark and Abby, by his contemporary in-laws, Eleanor Marasciulo, Madeline Brzoska and Philip Brzoska, and by a host of nieces, nephews and other in-laws, including young Vinny and Nicky, and by the new friends he made in the past decade. John took great pride in all those he loved and would tell you stories about the wonderful things they did at the drop of a hat. He also loved to watch and discuss the intricacies/plots/actors of and in classic movies. He will be greatly missed, especially his smiling face and many kindnesses. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Friday, June 10, 2016 10AM then to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington where at 11AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 & 6-8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Queen of Peace Food Pantry are welcome.
