Goffredo, Thomas P., 91, of North Arlington, died on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Goffredo was born in Jersey City and has been a resident of North Arlington since 1929. He was an Army Veteran serving in WWII from 1943 to 1946. As third generation in his families' business, Thomas was Owner of the Thomas Meloro & Son Monuments located in North Arlington for over 70 years, working along side his son and daughter. He was a member of the Wednesday Senior Harmony Club, Knights of Columbus, V.F.W. Post #4697, all of North Arlington as well as Tri State Monument Builders Association. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Carol (nee Campos) Goffredo, by his loving children, David Goffredo and his wife, Marta, Thomas Goffredo and his fiancee, Shawndi, Michael Goffredo and Julie Biamonte, and her husband, Nicholas and by his dear 3 grandchildren, David P. Goffredo, Christina and Gabriella Allegra. He is also survived by his sister, Rita V. Goffredo; Predeceased by his grandchild, Michael Goffredo and by his sisters and brothers, Mary Filippone, R. Michael, S. James and Concetta Goffredo. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from Nazare Memorial Home Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 9AM then to Our Lady of Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington where at 10AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Following the Mass, Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Thomas' memory to: Michael Goffredo Foundation, 1271 S. Vine Street, Denver CO 80210.
