Teacher, active in Catholic Organizations, Devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Brady, Gladys, Margaret. (nee Keating), 95, of Sparta, N.J., formerly a longtime resident of Lyndhurst, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, August 21, 2016. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 10AM then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 11AM a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gladys' memory to Sacred Heart School, 324 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071. Mrs. Brady was born in Jersey City to her loving parents, Edward J and Margaret C. Keating, She graduated St. Dominic Academy, attended Felician College and Seton Hall University. Mrs. Brady taught at Sacred Heart School, Lyndhurst for many years. She was a devout Catholic, Eucharistic Minister and active in many Catholic organizations, including former president of the Ladies Auxillary of the Knights of Columbus, Sacred Heart Rosary Society, a member of Sacred Heart and Lyndhurst Seniors among other various organizations. Mrs. Brady was an avid reader, however her greatest joy was spending holidays and time with her family. Gladys is predeceased by her beloved husband of 46 years, Frank J. Brady. She is survived by her three devoted children, Gladys B. Pokrywa (Benjamin), Kathleen B. McEvoy( Paul) and Frank J. Brady Jr.(Maura) as well as ten beloved grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Her legacy of love and friendship will live on through her loved ones and remain forever
