Richard C. Hartmann, Sr. born September 27, 1961 in Lyndhurst and currently of Mullica Hill passed away on October 19, 2017 surrounded by loving family after a long and courageous battle with esophageal cancer. Loving husband of Donna (nee Berner). Devoted father of Kelly Hartmann of Vernon, Richard Hartmann, Jr. & his wife, Amanda of Sarasota, FL, Daniel Hartmann of Vernon and stepfather to Ryan and Kelsey Elliott. Dear brother of Frederick Hartmann (Gloria) of Ocean and Teresa Hartmann of Lyndhurst. Rich was a first responder at 9/11 and served 35 years with the Port Authority of NY and NJ. He loved to ride his Harley with his lifelong friends. He was a big hearted man that would do anything for anybody. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home, 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Monday, October 23, 2017 3-7PM. Funeral Service begins at 6:30pm. Cremation Private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rich’s memory to the Esophageal Cancer Awareness Association, P.O. Box 55071 #15530, Boston, MA 02205-5071 (ECAware.org).
