Dear Trish,
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Below is a reflection on a Christian view of death (from Novena prayers) I want to share to you and your loved ones:
We think of Death as an ending,
Rather, think of it as a New Beginning.
We think of it as losing,
Rather, think of it as Winning, as Final Victory
We think of Death as parting,
Rather, think of it as an everlasting meeting of loved ones...
So Lord, help us to see a Christian Death for what it really is
The end of frustration and the beginning of fulfillment;
The end of fear and the beginning of peace
The end of pain and hurts and the beginning of joy and love
