Dad, you will never know how much you are missed. You were not perfect, but you always did what you had to do for our family. I am sorry that you were never afforded the happiness you deserved in life. You tried to mend our family and bring us back together in your final months. I promised you along with Jevon and Jessica that we would make that happen. The grandchildren were robbed of their grandfather way too soon. I know you are looking out for them and will always protect them. You told everyone that you worried about me and the strain your illness put on me. I told you not to worry since I would be able to rest/relax when you got better. I told you not to give up if you felt it was going to make things easier on me. I wanted you here for your grandchildren. My mind has been so clouded by all the negative things I have had to hear spoken about you from certain people. Over the past week or so since your passing, I was reminded how you touched so many people in a POSITIVE way. The reaction of everyone upon hearing of your passing makes me proud to be your son. I have spoken to people who have only met you once, to your former coworkers who knew you for years, and even the doctors and nurses who aided you during your illness. All of these people were so upset to hear of your passing. I have lost count of all the people telling me how great of a person you were, and you did not deserve this. I will miss speaking to you on a daily basis, and you alway being there for me. I have to stop myself from calling you in the morning when on my way to work. You were a constant in my life and now, no more. I know you will always be around in spirit to protect me as you tried to do in life. Love always, your very proud son.

On hearing of the passing of Joseph, many mixed memories came to mind. Joe always had a special place in my heart. Although we were no longer married we still shared a special bond together, our son Jason. Jason was instrumental in making it possible for Joe and I to speak to each other before his passing. I will always cherish those final conversations with him, and thank our son for making that possible. Rest in Peace Joe and Rise in Glory, until we meet again. God bless and love always, Wanda.

Today is hitting me harder than usual Dad. I love you so much and I love how you gave everything you had to everyone and everything you ever made contact with. We will all live to carry on that beautiful and loving spirit you shared with all. We all love you to pieces and cannot wait until we meet again. I love you Dad. Our teddy bear, our goof, our sarcastic butt, you are everything to us. We pray that you are in the most beautiful peace. See you soon Dad.

What can I say about my amazing brother-in-law Joe that has not already been said. For those who may not know The Correia family on the whole have a very special place in my heart. I knew them from quite a young age and spent lots of time in their home in Carmichael Street, then Murray Street in Guyana. My sister, Wanda was married to Joseph and unfortunately their union did not last. This however did not stop the love I had for Joe and The Correia’s as the memories and fun times we had been created over the years could not be erased. I remember Joe had a bicycle and when he came to our home would spend hours just shining those spikes and whistling. My dad used to call him a Kisskadee which was a type of bird found in Guyana. Another found memory I have is he would take me on my sister’s motorcycle and we would ride all over and if we saw any pretty girl we would whistle at them. On one of my birthday’s my dearest brother Joe said he wanted to be the first to give me a finger ring so got me a beautiful Gold Ring with two little hearts.. I am so saddened as we lived in different countries and our lives took us down different paths but I have never ever forgotten my darling brother Joe. Rest In Peace my sweet Joe. I know you are looking down on us. No more pain.

My brother you will forever be in our hearts because of the gentle, caring and warm person that you were. We always looked up to you as you were so much like Dad in your looks, mannerisms and the long stories that you would tell. You worked very hard to provide for your Family and never complained. You were very knowledgeable and skillful about many things and made sure you passed it on to your kids. I remember the many pranks you played on us, your siblings and cousins, as we were growing up. Those are beautiful memories that will never be forgotten. We had some great times together and I am just sad that we did not get to have many more such happy times together. My one consolation is that you are at peace and not suffering anymore as you have been through a lot. RIP my forever angel, you are now with some special people who love you just as much as we do. Love always, your sister, Bridget

Joe, you were a great brother, brother-in-law, uncle and great uncle who will be greatly missed by us. You were a good father and grandfather who worked very hard to provide for his family. Always kind and helpful to everyone whether you knew them personally or not. Our only consolation is that you are no longer suffering or in pain and an added Angel to our family. Mom and Dad will always take care of you. Rest In Peace my brother, gone but will remain in our hearts forever. Love and miss you so much.

‘Our love for you is not written on paper, for it can be erased.
Nor is our love for you etched in stone, for stone can be broken.
But our love for you is inscribed in our hearts, where it shall remain forever.’
Joe, you will always be remembered as a caring hardworking respected gentleman by all who knew you well. You were always willing to go above and beyond, even for those you only just met. You had a heart of gold for those who were truly deserving of your love and attention and you will be greatly missed.
You were first and foremost the one and only son of very proud parents who are waiting in heaven to greet and reclaim you with open arms. As our one and only brother, we loved you unconditionally and will cherish the beautiful memories we have of you. We will miss you for all eternity as the missing link in our broken family chain. You may be gone, but will never be forgotten by us. You were a great hardworking provider as a father and a loving gentle grandfather who will be greatly missed. May you finally rest in peace eternally.
We love you always,

Joseph will always be remembered as a caring, loving brother, son, uncle and most important Dad & Grandfather, who always went out of his way to help others. You were a very hardworking guy, who went out of your way to be kind, thoughtful, respectful and considerate of everyone.
We will always cherish our memories growing up and think about the way our parents brought us up to love and care for each other. Joseph our hearts broke when you left us, but we know you are in heaven with Dad & Mom and all the rest of our loving family. God bless you my brother.
Love you always and forever.
