Dad,
Thank you for being the father that you were.
Although I never told you this, growing up you were one of my heroes. You served your country, and later volunteered to serve your community. I remember you racing off many times to the sound of the fire alarms, never hesitating to put yourself in harms way in the line of duty. It takes a special and brave person to answer that call to service. It’s funny some of the little things I still remember. Being your “co-pilot” on our many summer vacations driving to Daytona Beach, responsible to tell you when to get more gas. Those Saturday afternoons when you would load the neighborhood kids in the station wagon and take us to Fat Mike’s. Or times you would take me to the Fire House and let me sit in the fire trucks and climb the fire pole. Good memories. In your later years, when diabetes impaired your vision and mobility, you never lost your smile or your sense of humor. I am glad that you never lost those. I will miss you, but look forward to the day when we meet again.

Grandpa,
Although our time together has come to an end, the memories will forever live on. I genuinely don't think I have a memory where you weren't joyfully smiling and full of life, and I can't help but smiling thinking of that. I will never forget the countless weekends spent sleeping over your house, the best Christmas morning breakfasts, and all the time we would spend together down at the Jersey shore. Things won't be the same without you around, but I take comfort in knowing you are in a better place. I cannot wait to hear all the new stories you're going to have for me when I see you again!
See you soon,
Justin

Dear Rosemary and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Bobby's passing. I have many childhood memories growing up next door. One is that when the fire whistles blew both Bobby and his father would run to their cars and race to the firehouse.
Our sincere condolences,
Cousin Frankie and Barbara

Dad,
Thank you for all you have done to shape me into the man I am today. Without you constantly pushing me to be my best self, I would not be where I am today. Will always remember my first Jet game in 1969 and Met games at Shea Stadium, a double header against the Cubs. Going to the opening of the Meadowlands Race Track was something I couldn't wait to experience with you and I am glad we were able to get onto Giants Stadium field that day. I will cherish every moment I had with you forever and I am glad to have called you my father. I will miss you.
See you one day,
Michael

Dear Grandpa,
I can't believe you left so soon, but I am happy that you are free of pain and illness now. I am also very grateful that I got to share so many memories with you over the past 18 years. I will never forget the jokes you said and how you always got in trouble for trying to have more than one dessert .Last but not least, your big bright smile that you would show when we came over or when there was action happening around your street. I will forever miss you and love you always.
See you one day,
Anna

Dear Grandpa,
Although I am only 12 and your youngest grandchild, I have great memories of you. You always had a smile on your face and loved telling stories. I loved when you would come over for Christmas morning and we would have a huge breakfast and when we would go to your house for Easter. One of the best memories I have of you is when we would go to your house and you would always be sitting outside waiting for us with a big smile on your face. You knew how to make me laugh and cheer me up.
You were an amazing person.
I will always love you grandpa and will always miss you.
Love, Joseph

Grandpa, Instead of dwelling on the awful way things had to end, I thought I would take a second and talk about the 18 years of life we got to share together. I will forever hold onto all those laughs and great times around the table at dinner or sitting outside on your street waiting to see at least one car drive by before the sun went down. The countless times you would leave my house after Christmas dinner and make grandma drive back for your favorite hat was something I will never forget. I will always remember the excitement on your face when you heard grandma let you have a cheat night and eat a cannoli from calandras. Although things ended very sudden I am so grateful to have had you in my life for these past 18 years and I cannot wait to one day hear you crack another joke. Keep an eye out for those cars on your street!!! Love you always.

Dear Grandpa,
I was so lucky to have you as my grandfather for a joyous 21 years. No matter the scenario you always had a smile on your face. Telling jokes to no end, having a laugh with the other grandchildren and I, and enjoying some quality Italian cuisine, fresh from grandma's kitchen. I never forget the holidays and all the fun times we had together, as those are some memories I cherish for the rest of my life. Rest easy grandpa, I know I'll be laughing with you again someday!
See you soon,
Mike Jr.
