Chiaro, Antoinette, (nee Castellucci), 96, died peacefully at her home on Friday, November 13, 2020. Antoinette is predeceased by her parents Michael and Rose Castellucci (nee Valenzano) first husband Raymond Roderick in 1983 and by her son Michael John Roderick 1989. Her husband Nicholas Chiaro died 2006 and her sister Phyllis Sangi in 2012. She is survived by her grandchildren, Michael Roderick and Jacqueline Roderick Dennis and by her great grandchildren Andrew and Olivia Rose Dennis and Elizabeth Roderick and Rebecca Roderick. Her nieces Rosemary Homeister and Mary Elaine Sangi, her great nieces and nephew Rosemary Homeister, Patrick Sangi and Nichole Sangi Coates, Frank Sangi Jr. and Laura Sangi Hanley as well as a number of great great nieces and nephew.

Antoinette was a life long resident of Lyndhurst. She was the secretary for the Lyndhurst Juvenile Aid Bureau for 13 years, then for Sacred Heart Church of Lyndhurst for 15 years before she retired. Antoinette was an active parishioner of Sacred Heart, a member of the Rosary Society, a lecturer and eucharistic minister. She was also a member of the Lyndhurst Historical Society, AARP and the William Carlos Foundation of Rutherford. In addition she was a very talented pianist and entertained at the Barge Club in Carlstadt for a number of years.

The family wishes to acknowledge the loving and devoted care provided by Lena and Maka Gogishvilli and their family. We are truly grateful to Mary Ann McSweeney and her late husband Buddy McSweeney and to her friend Maria Fernandez and many others who have assisted us during this time. We are comforted to know that Antoinette lives on in all whose lives she touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 9:00 AM-10:15AM. Then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10:30 AM a funeral mass will be offered. Interment, Hillside Cemetary, Lyndhurst. Please express your condolences to Antoinette's family by using our tribute wall.  In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in her memory to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst
