Sheridan, Mary C. (nee Travas), 94, of Lyndhurst, died on Saturday, January 27, 2024.  Mrs. Sheridan was born in Guttenberg and moved to Long Island before returning to West New York where she lived for 20 years.  In 1951, Mary married Frank "Buz" Sheridan and moved to Union City.  Mary and "Buz" were active in St. Anthony's Church in Union City and together they lived a happy, full, and active life.  She worked for 20 years at the Union City Board of Education and was President of the Union City Library Board.  In 1979, Mary and Frank moved to Lyndhurst with their family.  Always politically involved, Mary served the Republican County Committee, Lyndhurst Board of Education, and was Vice President of the Republican Club.  Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years, Frank “Buz” Sheridan and is survived by their six loving children, Dennis, Alexandra, Mark, Bruce, Catherine, and Peter, by 13 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home, 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 1 PM - 5 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 8:45AM, then to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington where at 9:45 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Interment to follow, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
