Laz, in the arms of his mom Carmita. Her beaming face says it all. The bond between mother and child… an eternal love!

Lazarito, our miracle, born a day after St.Lazarus.He was three pounds. We knew then he would be a fighter! Was welcomed into this world with immense love and happiness. In his mother’s eyes he was perfection!!

Lázaro was a miracle baby, he was born premature, weighing 3 lbs. With the grace of God he grew healthy and strong.
When I think of Laz, I see someone who always played by the rules, a man of integrity and hardworking. He was a loving son, wonderful big brother, great husband and nurturing father.
At the age of nine he immigrated to the U.S.A. from his native Cuba. Growing up he had many friends and was always at his best behavior( the
perfect young man). People gravitated to him and enjoyed his company.
He met his soulmate Frida at Bronx Community College. They were married for forty three years. He always wished for a daughter and was blessed with the birth of Christina(the apple of his eyes) his only child.
He graduated from Lehman College. He worked as an International Examiner for the I.R.S.. He always had a desire to help others; therefore, becoming union steward.. He was someone others came to for advice. He was well liked and respected by his colleagues.
Laz enjoyed a good joke and was a generous tipper. Also, he was a die heart Boston Red Sox fan. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, fishing, running in the N.Y.C. Marathon., a home cooked meal, music, and family life.
Lastly, he was a man of faith who courageously battled Parkinson. He is our hero! We were honored to have him in our lives and he will be greatly missed until we meet again!
Love you “Laz!”
Margarita

Margarita, Carmen, Frida, and Christina,
Although we never met your brother/husband/father, I know my parents did. And knowing what I know about Margarita and Carmen, Lazaro must’ve been a wonderful man, funny, and smart, and caring.
May God have him in his care.
We extend our deepest condolences to each of you, and send you hugs.
Ada Marin, M.D. & Linda Clark
