UPDATED November 17, 2020

Regarding COVID-19:

Please note: A mask or face covering is required when inside the funeral home.

During these unprecedented times, Nazare Memorial Home is here with compassion and empathy for our community. As always, we are available 24/7 should you have any questions, concerns, or the loss of a loved one. We are able to make arrangements over the phone or through email if necessary and are following the recommendations put forth by the CDC and the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association.

COVID-19 has certainly affected how funerals are now being conducted. We respectfully ask that if you or anyone in your family is not feeling well that you do not come to the funeral home for arrangements or in attendance of a viewing or funeral. Although the restrictions and policies have been changing, the details below explain what is currently being allowed at funeral homes in New Jersey.

With Governor Murphy's newest executive order (November 16, 2020), restrictions on funeral homes have not been changed. We are still allowed to have up to 100 people in our funeral home for viewings and funeral services. It is required for everyone entering the funeral home to wear a mask or face covering and practice proper social distancing guidelines, such as avoiding physical contact and remaining six feet apart from one another.

If you are unable to attend a funeral because of the restrictions above, please visit our website where you can leave your condolences under each obituary. Although these are difficult and stressful times for all, we will come through together if we follow the appropriate guidelines provided to us.

For over 90 years the Nazare Memorial Home has been a pillar of service to the people of Lyndhurst and its bordering communities.

Please feel free to browse our pages to learn more about pre-planning a funeral and about grief support, as well as the traditional funeral and cremation services that we offer. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us any time. Drop by the office as needed, or contact us via phone or e-mail. We are always here for you.

Furthermore, we understand that it is not always possible to attend a service or a visitation in person. In light of this, we've created beautiful interactive online tributes to memorialize your love one. Leave a condolence, share a memory, post a photo, light a candle, and more!
